The “Didache”, known in English as “(The) Teaching of the Twelve Apostles”, is a document which, like the Gospel(s) and several Epistles, was in heavy circulation among early Christians, c. 100 - 300 A.D. The Didache was then held to be a more or less accurate representation of the essential teachings of the Apostles.

Regarding Interlinear Translation of this early Christian document, my opinion is the same for this as for the others, even the “canonical” ones privileged to comprise the New Testament:

God’s Plan in making written and circulated these writings is His “Theopneustos” (“God-breathed”) activity: When any person hears (or reads) the words of Jesus and/or His followers, God’s Spirit “quickens” these words – He impacts our soul as He “convicts” or convinces us of His Truth as It is represented by the words.

Therefore, the Christian publisher’s task is to accurately repeat the same words chosen by God for His message, having faith that He will as always “speak through” the same words and convey to the listener/reader His Truth.

Hence, in this Interlinear I’ve listed each original (Greek) word, and tried to supply for each the modern American English word which most closely reproduces the same meaning and intent of the original. All subtleties, hidden meanings, and “esoteric” interpretations are omitted, as they are best left to the “scholars”; but to the modern listener / reader, the original meaning of the writing is essentially the same to us now, as is His subsequent illumination of its Truth.
